LE MANS, France, July 9, 2026–Hangcha Group, a global leader in industrial vehicles and intelligent logistics solutions, and Manitou Group, a worldwide reference in material handling, aerial work platforms, and earthmoving sectors, today inaugurated HM Battery Solutions (HMBS), which specializes in the manufacture and distribution of lithium-ion batteries.



The Opening Ceremony of HMBS
The inauguration of the HM Battery Solutions facility took place today in the presence of numerous elected officials and journalists. Specializing in the design and assembly of high-performance lithium-ion battery modules and packs, this new structure embodies a clear ambition for HM Battery Solutions: to become the European benchmark in the optimization of electric industrial equipment, by leveraging the technological potential of lithium to increase fleet longevity and sustainably decarbonize the industry.
A Strategic Milestone
HMBS specializes in the design and assembly of LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery modules, packs, and dedicated chargers. The 3,000+ m2 facility features two advanced production lines, with over 250 models already developed, ranging from 5kWh to over 45kWh.

European Service Network
Hangcha has over 20 overseas subsidiaries worldwide. In Europe, it operates sales subsidiaries in Germany, France, and the Netherlands, a rental company in France, and a parts center in Almere, the Netherlands, stocking 15,000+ parts for 2-3 day delivery across Europe with local support teams.
Local Manufacturing, Local Service
The Le Mans facility adds local battery design, assembly and after-sales support to Hangcha's existing sales and parts network. For customers, this means shorter delivery times, faster technical support and lower lifecycle costs – directly addressing their priorities: equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
With this plant, Hangcha continues to deepen its global collaboration with Manitou, advancing its green and intelligent strategy across markets.
